Job summary

Atkore International is hiring a Material Handler/Grinder for the 2nd shift (3:00pm–11:00pm) at our Binghamton, NY facility. You will package product, recycle scrap PVC, and keep areas safe, clean and organized.

Candidates should lift 50 pounds unassisted and have experience in manufacturing or related roles. The role reports to the Shift Lead and involves quality control tasks, line support, and ensuring pipe products meet specifications.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years related experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• Good understanding of basic math for counting and calculations.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.
• Adaptable to changes in the work environment and able to handle multiple demands calmly.
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted and work safely in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Confirm product with schedule.
• Assist with quality control duties including monitor saw cuts, pipe length, bell fit, print line confirmation, chamfer/bevel, and reference line spacing.
