Job summary

Atkore in Dallas, TX is seeking a Blending Operator I for the Day shift. You will blend PVC compounds from raw materials according to formulas, guided by the Shift Supervisor, and support extrusion operations.

Responsibilities include reading schedules, estimating material needs, and ensuring correct material routing. You will operate forklifts, maintain inventories, and collaborate with Maintenance, Production, Accounting and Purchasing to keep daily operations efficient.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Extrusion experience or ability to learn PVC extrusion operations.
• Strong math skills for counting and calculations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret production schedule to plan blending and storage requirements.
• Estimate compound needs to support extrusion and route materials efficiently.
• Adjust blender controls and hoses for correct daily blending and inventory reporting.
• Operate forklifts safely to move materials and support blending operations.
• Communicate with Maintenance, Production, Accounting and Purchasing daily.
• Perform maintenance and clean-up of blending areas and storage spaces.
• Assist with monthly raw material inventory and monitor usage for purchasing.
