Job summary

Atkore International operates a Weatherford, TX facility seeking a Blending Operator I to blend PVC compounds per formulas. The role reports to the Shift Supervisor and involves reading production schedules, material routing, and maintaining inventory accuracy.

You will safely operate forklifts, assist with monthly raw material counts, and collaborate with maintenance, production, accounting and purchasing to keep daily operations on track.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Extrusion experience or ability to quickly learn PVC extrusion operations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good math skills for quick counting and calculations.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, time management and organization.
• Mechanical aptitude for maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret the production schedule to evaluate upcoming blending and storage needs.
• Estimate compound requirements to support extrusion and determine routing for materials.
• Adjust blender controls to ensure correct blending for inventory reporting.
• Safely operate forklifts to move materials and support efficient blending.
• Communicate with Maintenance, Production, Accounting and Purchasing daily.
• Perform maintenance and cleanup of blending and storage areas.
• Assist with monthly raw material inventory and input for purchasing.
