Job summary
Boston Government Services, LLC (BGS) is seeking an experienced electromechanical technologist to join our Photovoltaics and Materials Technology team in Albuquerque, NM. You will operate PV characterization tools, assist outdoor installations, and work across lab and field settings to advance PV system research.
The role requires a technical Associate's degree and hands-on experience with DAS, LabVIEW, and data handling.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in electronics, electro-mechanical technologies, engineering or other relevant technical field.
- 3 years of experience in a laboratory setting and related duties.
- Experience with mechanical assembly and common hand tools.
- Experience with Data Acquisition Systems (DAS) and laboratory instrumentation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance; US citizen.
Responsibilities
- Operate indoor PV characterization tools.
- Support outdoor PV system installation, instrumentation, and maintenance.
- Work in laboratory and outdoor environments.
- Monitor experiments and record observations for PV system development/testing.
- Prepare information for scientific and engineering reports and publications.
