Job summary
Boston Government Services, LLC (BGS) is seeking an experienced electromechanical technologist to join our Photovoltaics and Materials Technology team in Albuquerque, NM. The role focuses on PV power systems research, requiring hands-on mechanical assembly, DAS programming, and instrumentation in lab and field settings.
You will operate indoor PV characterization tools, support outdoor installations, document observations, and contribute to reports.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in electronics, electro-mechanical technologies, engineering or related technical field.
- Laboratory experience with test setup, equipment operation and data collection.
- Experience with mechanical assembly and common hand tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance.
- US citizenship and successful drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Operate indoor PV characterization tools and monitor experiments.
- Support outdoor PV system installation, instrumentation, and maintenance.
- Work in laboratory and outdoor settings and record observations.
- Contribute to documentation for scientific and engineering reports.
