Job summary

JGMS Government Services LLC seeks an experienced electromechanical technologist to support PV power systems research. You will perform mechanical assembly, use common hand tools, and handle electrical work in lab and outdoor environments.

The role requires lifting bulky test devices, working outdoors in all seasons, and familiarity with lock-out/tag-out procedures and safety practices. DOE security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in electronics, electromechanical technologies, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a lab environment performing test setup, equipment operation and data collection.
• Experience with mechanical assembly and common hand tools.
• Experience with Data Acquisition Systems (DAS) and laboratory instrumentation; basic data management.

Responsibilities

• Operate indoor PV characterization tools and collect data.
• Support outdoor PV system installation, instrumentation, and maintenance.
• Work in both laboratory and outdoor settings.
• Monitor experiments and record observations for PV system development and testing.
• Prepare information for scientific and engineering reports and publications.
• Must be able to work onsite due to the nature of the work.
