Job summary

JGMS Government Services LLC (JGMS-GS) seeks an experienced electromechanical technologist to support PV power systems research. The role involves mechanical assembly, DAS, instrumentation, and data management with periodic outdoor work and access control for safety.

The ideal candidate has lab experience, familiarity with LOTO, and ability to work onsite. DOE security clearance may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in electronics or related field.
  • 3 years of hands-on experience in a lab or testing environment.
  • Experience with mechanical assembly, DAS, instrumentation, and data handling.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate indoor PV characterization tools.
  • Assist outdoor PV system installation, instrumentation, and maintenance.
  • Work in laboratory and outdoor settings.
  • Monitor experiments and record observations.
  • Support documentation for reports and publications.
  • Onsite work required due to project needs.
