Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Supervisor to oversee daily PV module production, ensuring quality and cost efficiency in at least one plant area. You will train manufacturing staff, maintain records, and apply TOC to improve throughput, while coordinating with other departments to exceed customer expectations.

The role requires strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving abilities, plus experience in a manufacturing supervisory setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Candidate must meet one of the six criteria listed in the Education/Experience section for advancement to supervisor roles.
• Experience as First Solar Supervisor/Temporary Supervisor or Team Lead/Temporary Team Lead qualifies.
• At least two years of supervisory experience in manufacturing/production environments.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise daily production of Photovoltaic modules in at least one plant area.
• Coordinate on-the-job training for manufacturing associates.
• Maintain associate records and timekeeping in Kronos.
• Use TOC methods to maximize throughput and participate in CI activities.
• Interface with other departments and ensure customer expectations are met.
