Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to oversee testing and commissioning for HV, BESS, and PV assets nationwide. You will lead the commissioning team, coordinate with engineering and field crews, and ensure all activities meet safety and project requirements.

The role requires hands-on site presence, coordination with OEMs, and weekly schedule updates. The position emphasizes strong electrical knowledge, project management, and effective communication to deliver fully

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years testing and commissioning on utility scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the project commissioning team with training and guidance.
• Report daily to the Commissioning Manager on status of each project.
• Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and milestone deliverables.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers on equipment testing and commissioning activities.
• Align with engineering, construction, and QA teams on commissioning tasks.
• Help develop integrated testing schedules and weekly updates.
• Manage pre-commissioning through hot commissioning tests for BESS, HV, or PV assets.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare detailed daily commissioning reports and action logs.
• Travel to project sites as required and support multiple sites.
