Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Product Support Specialist to provide technical assistance for PV solar systems, BESS, and inverter technologies. The role involves warranty support, remedial repairs, and working under the Customer Manager Services.

You will troubleshoot in a call center setting, handle technical tickets, and maintain updated knowledge of products through continuous training. This position operates Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• PV solar systems, BESS, and inverter technologies experience required.
• 1-3 years in customer service or technical troubleshooting.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting in a call center environment (phone, email, CRM).
• Troubleshoot PV solar systems, BESS, and inverter technologies.
• Complete service tickets, timesheets, expenses, and project documentation promptly.
• Maintain knowledge of new products and systems through ongoing training.
• Assist with parts ordering and warranty analysis activities.
• Support development of training materials and deliver training on software/hardware systems.
• Maintain knowledge of ATS, switchgear, and power systems.
• Monitor and manage Helpdesk tickets, RFQs, DSN activities, and related mailboxes.
• Identify and elevate complex issues to management as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
