Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources is hiring a PV Solar Field Technician II (Intermediate Level) in Cheyenne Wells, CO to support battery energy storage systems. The Battery Technician will join the ROI team to ensure performance and reliability of storage assets and to execute routine inspections and maintenance across sites.

The role requires a High School diploma, 1+ years of experience, and a valid non-CDL driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED.
• Experience: 1+ years.
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL).

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of battery energy storage systems to identify maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including cleaning panels and replacing faulty components.
• Troubleshoot system failures using monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with the operations team to implement maintenance plans.
• Coordinate closely with the construction team during installation and commissioning.
• Generate reports and maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and equipment conditions.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all work activities.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in battery energy storage systems technology and maintenance techniques.
