Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources seeks a Site Technician to support PV solar and battery storage operations in the Tucson region. You will join the O&M team to ensure reliability, safety, and optimal performance of our clean energy assets.

Responsibilities include routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, reporting, and collaboration with construction and operations teams during installations, commissioning, and ongoing asset management.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of related experience in PV/battery maintenance.
• Valid driver's license (non-CDL).

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of PV solar and battery energy storage systems to identify and address maintenance or performance issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including cleaning panels and replacing faulty components.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system failures using monitoring tools and technical knowledge.
• Collaborate with the operations team to implement maintenance plans and procedures.
• Coordinate with the construction team during installation and commissioning of new solar projects.
• Generate reports and maintain records of inspections, maintenance activities, and equipment conditions.
• Ensure safety standards and company policies during all work activities.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in solar technology.
