Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking a PV Solar Field Technician I (Advanced) for the Dodge Flats Energy Storage site in Wadsworth, NV. The role supports PV solar and battery storage system operations, maintenance, and reliability within the O&M team.

The technician will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and reporting while collaborating with construction and operations to uphold safety standards and project quality.

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED
• 2+ years experience
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of PV solar and battery energy storage systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including cleaning panels and replacing components.
• Troubleshoot system failures using monitoring tools and technical knowledge.
• Collaborate with operations to implement maintenance plans and procedures.
• Coordinate with construction during installation and commissioning of new projects.
• Generate reports and maintain records of inspections and activities.
• Ensure safety standards and company policies during all work.
