Reser’s Fine Foods in Memphis, TN is seeking a Purchasing Clerk to enter data from purchase orders and interplant transfers for finished goods, create purchase orders for outside vendors, and coordinate deliveries with suppliers.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic PC skills, and accuracy with 10-key data entry. You will support inventory management and ensure timely replenishment in a fast-paced food production environment.

Qualifications

• Purchasing experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic PC skills required.
• Must be skilled in 10-key data entry.
• Knowledge of Business Planning and Control Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enters replenishment orders for brokered items.
• Creates purchase order for outside vendors as needed.
• Contacts suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages.
• Reviews requisition orders to verify accuracy and specifications.
• Answers phone questions with prompt follow up.
• Prepares and maintains purchasing files.
• Regular attendance and punctuality is required due to working with people, items and equipment that are at the facility.
