Rite-Hite, the global leader in loading dock and door equipment, seeks a Purchasing Supervisor at our Dubuque, IA facility. Lead Buyers, shape site sourcing, manage suppliers, and drive cost efficiency while aligning with engineering and operations. Strong negotiation, ERP/MRP, and Excel skills are essential.

You will oversee a team, ensure material availability, and implement strategic cost-reduction programs in a manufacturing setting. Travel and safety compliance are part of the role.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of progressive purchasing or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
• Strong supplier negotiation and contract management skills.
• Experience with sourcing strategies and supplier performance management.
• Understanding of inventory management and replenishment models including VMI.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems; JD Edwards experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

Mansioni

• Lead a team of Buyers and Senior Buyers; set priorities and drive performance.
• Develop site-level sourcing strategies to support supply continuity and cost competitiveness.
• Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships; be the primary site-level contact.
• Lead supplier selection, pricing, and contract negotiations; approve site-level agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance with scorecards and quality metrics; implement corrective actions.
• Develop inventory and replenishment strategies using demand forecasts.
• Align sourcing with production requirements and capacity plans.
• Mitigate supply chain risks and reduce total cost of ownership.
• Drive cost performance through savings initiatives and optimization programs.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, and Global Supply Chain on purchasing needs.
• Support new product development through supplier selection and cost modeling.
• Establish and improve purchasing processes and governance for efficiency.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data to support replenishment decisions.
• Act as escalation point for complex supplier issues; guide resolution.
