Job summary

Recess Hotel & Club Savannah seeks a Purchasing Supervisor to oversee procurement, receiving, and inventory control for the property. You’ll manage vendor relationships, supervise storeroom ops, and deliver timely reports and analytics to leadership.

You’ll ensure quality, price alignment, and inventory accuracy while collaborating with department leaders to forecast needs and support hospitality operations. This is a full-time on-site role in Savannah.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing/receiving/warehouse or procurement, ideally in hospitality.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to count, track, and document inventory accurately.
• Familiar with inventory systems, spreadsheets, and basic software.
• Knowledge of purchasing practices, vendor mgmt and cost-control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily purchasing, receiving, and storeroom operations.
• Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries meet specs.
• Source and procure food, beverage, and operating supplies while managing cost/quality.
• Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
• Monitor levels, conduct cycle counts, participate in audits.
• Maintain purchasing/receiving/inventory records accurately.
• Review invoices and docs; resolve discrepancies with vendors.
• Collaborate with dept leaders to forecast needs and support ops.
• Ensure storeroom/receiving areas are clean, organized, safe.
• Prepare reports on purchasing, inventory, and costs.
• Train team members on procedures; support special projects.
