Job summary

Brady Corporation is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor in Milwaukee to oversee multi-line procurement, guide a buyers team, and implement best-in-class practices. You will optimize inventory, improve on-time delivery, and streamline processes across the organization.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field, 3+ years in manufacturing, and strong SAP/MRP and communication skills. Expect collaboration with multiple departments and a focus on cost control and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong forecasting and MRP understanding.
• Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead a project team and manage changing priorities.
• Proficiency with SAP planning/production and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate purchasing staff.
• Direct daily workflow and schedules of the department.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address disciplinary issues.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

• May develop purchasing and contract management instructions and policies.
• May research vendors to compare pricing and services.
• May perform related duties as assigned.

What You'll Be Doing

• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate purchasing staff.

What You Will Need To Be Successful

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field
• Minimum 3 year of experience in a Manufacturing environment using all of the required skills
• Must possess a good understanding of forecasting and MRP
• Must have excellent communication, presentation and problem solving skills.
• The ability to work effectively within a team environment, including leading a project team.
• Must be able to effectively manage multiple and changing priorities.
• Proficient in SAP planning and production functionality and Microsoft Office.
