Job summary

ProPump & Controls is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our hands-on team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will manage warehouse operations, inventory, order processing, and ERP administration to ensure parts are received, stored, and available when needed.

Responsibilities include handling customer orders, stocking, purchasing, and maintaining ERP data, while upholding safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in warehouse, inventory, or parts department role.
• ERP experience preferred.
• Basic purchasing and vendor management experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50–70 lbs. regularly.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Forklift certificate needed within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Process customer sales orders, including picking, packing, and preparing shipments.
• Staging parts for Tech jobs.
• Receive incoming shipments, verify against purchase orders, and stock parts.
• Coordinate and execute transfers of parts and materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels in the warehouse and ERP system.
• Assist with purchasing: create purchase orders, follow up with vendors, and source parts as needed.
• Update and maintain parts pricing, costs, and master data within the ERP system.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and returns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.).
• Ship parts via FedEx, UPS, LTL carriers.
• Provide exceptional internal customer service to technicians and other departments.

This hands-on position combines warehouse operations, inventory management, order processing, light purchasing, and ERP system administration. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys ensuring parts are accurately received, stored, shipped, and available when needed.

Requirements

Required Experience

• 2+ years of experience in warehouse, inventory, or parts department role (automotive, industrial, or similar industry preferred)
• Experience using an ERP system strongly preferred
• Basic purchasing and vendor management experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to lift 50-70 lbs. regularly and perform physical warehouse tasks
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Positive attitude and team player mentality
• Forklift certificate needed within 30 days of start date.
