The role includes handling core returns, repair orders, and ensuring smooth inventory flow. Key responsibilities include monitoring stock levels, evaluating quotes, researching suppliers, tracking deliveries, and processing RMAs.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, sourcing materials, and maintaining strong vendor relationships to ensure timely procurement of parts and supplies. This role involves handling core returns, repair orders, and ensuring the smooth flow of inventory management.

Job Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Review parts with established minimum/maximum stock levels and place orders to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Vendor & Supplier Relations: Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure reliable product sourcing.
  • Quote Management: Request and evaluate price quotes from vendors, comparing costs to ensure maximum return on investment (ROI).
  • Vendor Research & Evaluation: Research and assess potential vendors and suppliers to ensure they meet company needs and quality standards.
  • Delivery Tracking: Monitor incoming inventory shipments, track delivery arrival times, and document any discrepancies between expected and actual arrival times.
  • Core Returns & RMAs: Process core returns and manage Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) as required.
  • Repair Orders: Handle and process repair orders, ensuring timely execution and documentation.
Job Requirements
  • Proven experience in procurement, inventory management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective vendor relationships.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and procurement systems.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
