ProPump & Controls Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Troutman, NC. This hands-on role combines warehouse operations, inventory management, order processing, light purchasing, and ERP system administration.

You will receive comprehensive benefits after 90 days, participate in ongoing training, and work with senior technicians and managers in a collaborative, privately held company that values knowledge, skills, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in warehouse, inventory, or parts department role (automotive, industrial, or similar industry preferred).
• Experience using an ERP system strongly preferred.
• Basic purchasing and vendor management experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lift 50-70 lbs regularly and perform physical warehouse tasks.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Forklift certificate needed within 30 days of start date.

• Process sales orders including picking, packing, and preparing shipments.
• Stage parts for Tech jobs.
• Receive shipments, verify against PO, and stock parts.
• Coordinate transfers of parts and materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory in warehouse and ERP.

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Specialist to join our team. This hands-on position combines warehouse operations, inventory management, order processing, light purchasing, and ERP system administration. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys ensuring parts are accurately received, stored, shipped, and available when needed.

Responsibilities Include

• Process customer sales orders, including picking, packing, and preparing shipments and pickups
• Staging parts for Tech jobs
• Receive incoming shipments, verify accuracy against purchase orders, and properly stock parts
• Coordinate and execute transfers of parts and materials
• Maintain accurate inventory levels in the warehouse and ERP system
• Assist with purchasing: create purchase orders, follow up with vendors, and source parts as needed.
• Update and maintain parts pricing, costs, and master data within the ERP system
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and returns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
• Operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) as needed
• Ship parts via FedEx, UPS, LTL carriers
• Provide exceptional internal customer service to technicians and other departments
