Job summary

Van Marcke Trade Supply in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an entry-level Product/Purchasing Assistant to support our Logistical Operations team under the Product Manager. You will help analyze product categories, maintain vendor relationships, and assist with purchase orders and data entry.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of plumbing wholesale operations is a plus.
• Purchasing experience helpful but not required.
• Strong planning, organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and analyzing product category sales to optimize assortment.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors.
• Prepare and update product parameters and price files.
• Receive and analyze internal product requests and PO follow-up.
• Assist in developing new products with Lead Buyer and Product Manager.
• Communicate with Purchasing, Product and Operations teams and warehouse staff.
• Request samples, set up vendor files, and manage vendor documentation.
• Cost comparisons and data entry to support inventory control.
