Job summary

Kinetic Personnel Group is seeking a Purchasing Assistant in California to support sales order processing, customer service, and intercompany order handling in a SAP-enabled environment. You will coordinate orders, prepare requisitions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely deliveries.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of experience in order processing or purchasing support, strong communication skills, and proficiency with SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in sales order processing, customer service, order management, purchasing support, or related B2B environment.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and database reporting tools.
• Knowledge of inventory control, purchasing procedures, pricing, quotations, and sales order documentation.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business software systems.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and provide excellent internal and external customer service.

Responsibilities

• Process and track customer orders, quotes, change requests, and expedited shipments.
• Manage open order and delivery reports, identify discrepancies, and resolve order-related issues.
• Coordinate intercompany transfer orders and communicate updates to planners and stakeholders.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for internal sales teams and support customer inquiries.
• Maintain order documentation, processing debits, credits, rebills, and other order adjustments.
• Collaborate with customers, sales teams, production, shipping, and purchasing to meet delivery requirements.
• Generate reports, maintain records, and assist with inventory-related activities.
• Create purchase requisitions for production and office supplies.
