Job summary

Rio Las Vegas is seeking a Purchasing Operations Buyer to convert approved requisitions into purchase orders, secure confirmations, track deliveries and document purchasing activity. This role operates under a shared-duty model across departments to maintain continuity.

Essential duties cover ordering, supplier communication, lifecycle management and adherence to corporate controls while supporting operational continuity for the property. Strong Excel and ERP skills are required.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of purchasing, buying, procurement, supply chain or related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing, inventory or ERP systems.
• Ability to calculate unit costs, extensions, percentages, price variances and freight impact.

Responsibilities

• Place routine orders with approved suppliers within established contracts and authority.
• Review requisitions for completeness, specifications, funding and delivery timing.
• Translate requirements into accurate purchase orders and supplier instructions.
• Track deliveries, manage order status and resolve routine issues.
• Coordinate with suppliers, internal departments and project teams to align needs.
