Job summary

Rio Las Vegas is seeking a Purchasing Operations Buyer to convert requisitions into purchase orders, secure supplier confirmations, and track deliveries. You will resolve routine order issues and maintain complete purchasing-system documentation in a fast-paced hotel-casino environment.

In this role, you will manage the PO lifecycle, communicate with internal customers about order status, and coordinate with warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of purchasing, buying, procurement, or related experience.
• Ability to manage purchase orders, supplier communications, delivery tracking and problem resolution.
• Proficiency with Excel and purchasing/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary transactional purchasing contact for assigned operating departments and routine requirements.
• Translate department requirements into accurate purchase orders and supplier instructions.
• Create, issue, revise and close purchase orders within service levels.
• Track open orders, expedite critical requirements and resolve backorders or invoice discrepancies.
• Coordinate supplier deliveries with internal stakeholders and project teams.
• Maintain audit-ready purchasing records and supplier documentation.
