Job summary

UCP Long Island is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager for a fully in-person role in Hauppauge, NY. You will oversee all purchasing activities for the organization, develop procurement procedures, manage suppliers, and ensure cost-effectiveness across Residential, Admin, Adult Day Services and Education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 3–5 years related experience.
• Experience managing purchasing for multiple departments.
• Proficient with accounting software and PO processes.

Responsibilities

• Develops purchasing procedures for office services and equipment across departments.
• Manages suppliers to obtain best pricing and value.
• Directs staff and coaches to meet business requirements.
• Places and tracks purchase orders in accounting software.
• Monitors expenditures and supports budget objectives.
• Maintains contract lists and participates in agency committees.
