Job summary

ISAT Total Support /Tomarco in La Mirada, CA, is seeking a full-time Purchasing Agent to coordinate purchasing, manage vendor relations, and oversee logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective material delivery for construction projects.

The role requires at least 2 years in purchasing or logistics, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP experience is a plus. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities across nationwide offices.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or logistics.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP experience a plus.
• Knowledge of shipping methods and freight coordination.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies in alignment with project requirements and company standards.
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to secure competitive pricing, quality assurance, and on-time delivery.
• Coordinate logistics, including shipping, receiving, and distribution of materials to various branches and project sites.
• Track inventory levels and collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure adequate stock availability.
• Review and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
• Monitor open orders and resolve discrepancies or delays with suppliers and freight carriers.
• Prepare and maintain purchasing and logistics records, reports, and documentation.
• Support cost-control initiatives by identifying opportunities for savings in procurement and transportation.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams to align purchasing and delivery schedules with project deadlines.
