Job summary

LaSalle Network is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support construction projects by sourcing, ordering, and delivering materials, equipment, and services on time and within budget. You will collaborate with project managers and site teams to align purchasing decisions with project needs.

As a hands-on problem solver, you will troubleshoot issues, negotiate with vendors, track orders, and maintain supplier relationships to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain within construction or related industries.
• Strong negotiation and organizational skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and deliver solutions quickly.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and dependable team player.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where deadlines matter.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase construction materials, equipment, and services to meet project timelines.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors and subcontractors.
• Track purchase orders and resolve issues such as delays, shortages, or quality concerns.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and estimators to align purchasing decisions with project needs.
• Ensure materials comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Keep accurate records of orders, invoices, and vendor performance.
