Job summary

VoltaGrid is seeking a Purchasing Manager in Granbury, TX to lead the plant’s purchasing team and ensure materials and services support production schedules. You will supervise approximately 9–12 Buyers, manage RFQs, and drive supplier performance to prevent disruptions.

You will collaborate with Production Planning, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, Finance, and Operations to resolve shortages, control costs, and optimize purchasing processes. This role reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience overseeing a purchasing team in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing RFQs and supplier quotes to support production schedules.
• Certified purchasing credentials or ISO 9001 experience preferred.
• Experience purchasing fabricated parts, machined components, raw materials, or similar manufacturing-related goods.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a purchasing team of approximately 9–12 Buyers.
• Coordinate suppliers, commodities, and projects assigned to team members.
• Set daily/weekly priorities based on production schedules and material availability.
• Monitor buyer performance, purchasing accuracy, and on-time order placement.
• Manage RFQ process, documentation, and supplier quotations; track performance and savings.
• Collaborate with Production Planning, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, Finance, and Operations to prevent shortages.
