Job summary

Terrica Corporation in Granbury, TX is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead a purchasing team of 9–12 Buyers and ensure materials and services meet production needs.

You will drive RFQ processes, supplier management, and cross-functional coordination with Production Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to prevent shortages and control costs. The role requires a strategic mind and a hands-on leadership approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• 10+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of purchasing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience managing multiple Buyers, suppliers, commodities, and purchasing priorities.
• Experience with RFQs, supplier selection, purchase orders, supplier performance management, and contract negotiations.
• Experience using an ERP or MRP purchasing system; Syspro ERP a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a purchasing team of 9–12 Buyers.
• Oversee RFQ system and ensure timely competitive quotes.
• Coordinate with Production Planning and Warehouse to meet material requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive cost savings and on-time delivery.
• Review orders for pricing, quantity, part numbers, and delivery terms.
• Maintain purchasing data in the ERP/MRP system and generate reports.
• Identify supply risks and develop recovery plans with suppliers.
• Engage cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Finance.
