Convergint is seeking a full-time, results-driven, and forward-thinking Purchasing Lead to join our vibrant culture. In this role, you will manage, coordinate, and communicate activities related to Purchasing and Invoicing, adhering to ethical standards. You will also provide work direction and training to the team, maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, customers, and vendors, and meet product needs promptly. As a Purchasing Lead, you will be part of a dynamic AP team that offers growth opportunities aligned with Convergint's expansion.

Responsibilities

1. Participate in our Recruit Awesome People program to promote our colleague-first culture.
2. Drive procurement processes from needs analysis to invoice payment.
3. Utilize available inventory efficiently.
4. Manage vendors to ensure competitiveness, quality, and timely delivery.
5. Collaborate with departments to resolve issues.
6. Analyze data to inform purchasing priorities.
7. Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and colleagues.
8. Lead and support Purchasing / Invoicing Coordinators.
9. Train and support team members, including onboarding new colleagues.
10. Reconcile and process purchasing and receiving documents for payment.
11. Troubleshoot invoice discrepancies.
12. Obtain quotes and negotiate with vendors.
13. Spend approximately 85% of time resolving invoice issues and 15% leading the team and establishing priorities.
14. Assist with team leadership tasks such as training, mentoring, and hiring.
15. Perform other duties as required.
