Hyatt Regency New Orleans is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to support hotel operations by coordinating procurement, receiving, inventory management, and accounts payable processes.

The role links hotel departments, vendors, and finance to ensure timely and accurate flow of goods and payments. Ideal candidates are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Minimum of one year relevant experience.
• Intermediate MS applications knowledge.
• Knowledge/skill in Inventory & Warehouse Management.
• Knowledge of Basic Accounting Procedures.
• Customer service inclined.
• Deadline and detail oriented.
• Ability to lift ~40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process invoices for payment through the BirchStreet procurement system.
• Ensure accuracy of items, quantities, and pricing on purchase orders.
• Review invoices for discrepancies and resolve with vendors and internal departments.
• Track invoices through the payment cycle to ensure timely completion.
• Manage vendor payment schedules and maintain supplier records in BirchStreet.
• Prioritize payments to meet established credit terms.
