Job summary

D.R. Horton is seeking a Purchasing Intern to gain hands-on experience across business functions within the homebuilding company.

The program includes departmental rotations, project work, administrative support, and learning opportunities aligned with location priorities. Interns will support daily operations, learn industry terminology, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand how procurement supports customers and the company’s growth.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university and entering junior or senior year, or recently graduated.
• Pursuing a degree related to business, technology, finance, construction or related fields.
• Strong willingness to learn and contribute in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations within the assigned department, division, or office.
• Assist with department projects, research, reporting, and administrative activities.
• Learn and apply company policies, safety requirements, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to support homebuilding and customer experience.
• Participate in training programs and departmental rotations.
