Job summary

Kitron Technologies is seeking a purchasing and materials professional to support procurement activities in its Windber, PA facility. You will monitor purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery to sustain production schedules.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in purchasing or supply chain, strong ERP/MRP and Excel skills, and excellent communication. This on-site role offers growth within our EMS operations and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in supply chain, business, operations, or related field.
• 2+ years in purchasing, materials management, supply chain, customer service, or manufacturing operations.
• Strong procurement, supplier management and inventory concepts.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor open purchase orders and supplier delivery commitments to ensure on‑time receipt of materials.
• Proactively expedite critical and overdue orders to support production schedules and customer requirements.
• Communicate regularly with suppliers regarding order status, shipment schedules, lead times, and potential delivery risks.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Planning, Production, Inventory Control, and Logistics teams to identify and resolve material shortages.
• Update ERP/MRP systems with accurate supplier acknowledgments, delivery dates, and order status information.
• Escalate supply issues, shortages, and delivery concerns to management when necessary.
• Coordinate supplier recovery plans for late deliveries and track corrective actions.
• Analyze supplier performance related to on-time delivery and responsiveness.
• Assist buyers with purchase order maintenance, revisions, and supplier follow-up activities.
• Verify shipment tracking information and coordinate transportation requirements when needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on supply chain efficiency and supplier performance.
