Job summary

Comfort Systems USA, Inc. in Houston seeks a Purchasing Expeditor to manage expediting of equipment, parts, and services from MRP and PO workflows, ensuring on-time delivery and quality. You will work with suppliers and internal teams to keep projects on schedule.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in purchasing/expediting in a manufacturing setting, with ERP/MRP familiarity and strong communication skills; APICS CPIM is a plus, and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of purchasing/expediting in a custom engineered manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP/MRP driven manufacturing environments.
• APICS CPIM certification preferred.
• Knowledge of materials management, purchasing methods, and expediting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Expedite equipment, commodities, parts, and services from MRP and PO workflows.
• Maintain supplier communications from order placement to receipt to ensure quality and schedule.
• Review BOMs and align with PO promises; resolve discrepancies with Configuration Management and Purchasing.
• Monitor vendor PO promise dates and receipt of materials in the ERP system; communicate risks to TAS personnel.
