Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Purchasing Estimator in Alpharetta, GA to manage material take-offs and cost analysis for residential projects. You will verify change requests, interact with Purchasing and Operations, and coordinate with architects/engineers on plan changes impacting take-offs.

The role emphasizes accuracy, cost awareness, and collaboration across teams to ensure on-time, zero-defect homes and adherence to schedules.

Qualifications

• Two years of residential construction/architecture experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• Full understanding of residential construction, architectural, structural & MEP design.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with JD Edwards and Build Pro.
• Detail-oriented, able to manage deadlines and complex tasks.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Create material take-offs for existing, new, and revised plans (framing focus).
• Maintain take-offs for all active plans and verify take-off change requests.
• Interact with Purchasing & Operations to verify requests.
• Coordinate with architects/engineers on plan changes affecting take-offs.
• Analyze plans for cost-reasonableness and research design options.
• Assist in reviewing material EPO requests per take-offs and scopes.
• Complete take-offs for special projects and specification changes.
• Field-verify actual quantities vs. take-offs; support other duties as needed.
