Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking an inventory/parts associate to maintain daily parts areas and inventory. Responsibilities include bar coding, ordering and receiving parts and equipment, and keeping areas clean and organized.

You will also handle paperwork and assist in month-end reporting, ensuring stock is in designated locations and accessible for Production. The role requires the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, operate a forklift/Bobcat, and work with minimal supervision while following safety

Qualifications

• Must read and write English and follow instructions.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Computer skills and basic calculator use.
• Knowledge of using parts catalogs.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Ability to climb 1–2 flights of stairs frequently.
• Able to operate a Bob Cat/case loader and forklift and other rental machinery.
• Maintain clean and neat working areas and complete paperwork daily.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Ability to assess situations and act accordingly; safety-conscious.

• Count and maintain boiler fuel inventory and other crucial items for Production Dept.

To maintain all parts areas and inventory on a daily basis. To assist in the ordering of parts, supplies, and equipment.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Bar coding parts and putting on shelf and keeping an accurate inventory
• Ordering and receiving parts and equipment
• Keeping supply area's clean and orderly
• Complete all paperwork daily
• All parts areas are to be kept neat and clean.
• Bar code and label parts upon arrival.
• Arrange and store parts in appropriate bins.
• Order parts when needed and ensure stock is in appropriate and designated location.
• Keep accurate inventory records and assist in completing month-end reports, enter inventory count in automated system.
• Count and maintain boiler fuel inventory and other crucial items expected to be in stock and available for use by Production Dept when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to read and write.
• Excellent attendance
• Computer skills
• Knowledge of how to use parts catalogs.
• Ability to use a calculator to perform addition and subtraction functions.
• Must be able to climb 1 to 2 flights of stairs frequently.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Able to operate a "Bob Cat"/case loader and forklift and other rental machinery
• Maintain all working areas by keeping them clean and neat at all times
• Must be a self-starter and operate this department with a minimum of supervision
• Able to assess a situation and formulate a proper course of action
• Use equipment in a safe manner as instructed by management
• Work safely and observe all safety rules
• Hazards may and include, but are not limited to cuts, burns, slips and trips

Preferred Qualifications

• Must be willing to work all shifts, over-time and weekends as needed.
• Expected to perform other duties as assigned.
