Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking a 2nd shift Parts Inventory Associate to maintain all parts areas and daily inventory, assist in ordering supplies and equipment, and ensure accurate records. The role requires lifting up to 75 lbs and operating a Bob Cat/case loader and forklift.

Excellent attendance and the ability to work across shifts are essential. Responsibilities include barcoding, stocking, and organizing parts, handling paperwork, and keeping the supply area clean and orderly.

Qualifications

Must be able to read and write.
Excellent attendance.
Computer skills required.
Knowledge of how to use parts catalogs.
Able to operate calculator for simple math.
Must be able to climb 1–2 flights of stairs frequently.
Able to lift 75 lbs.
Operate Bob Cat/case loader and forklift.
Self-starter with minimal supervision.
Strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

Bar coding parts and shelving with accurate inventory.
Ordering and receiving parts and equipment.
Maintaining clean and orderly supply areas.
Completing paperwork daily.
Keeping parts areas neat and designated.
Bar coding and labeling parts upon arrival.
Arranging and storing parts in proper bins.
Ordering parts and ensuring stock in correct locations.
Maintaining accurate inventory records and assisting with month-end reports.
Counting and maintaining boiler fuel inventory and other critical items for Production.

Job Summary

To maintain all parts areas and inventory on a daily basis. To assist in the ordering of parts, supplies, and equipment.

This is a 2nd Shift position

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Bar coding parts and putting on shelf and keeping an accurate inventory
Ordering and receiving parts and equipment
Keeping supply area's clean and orderly
Complete all paperwork daily
All parts areas are to be kept neat and clean.
Bar code and label parts upon arrival.
Arrange and store parts in appropriate bins.
Order parts when needed and ensure stock is in appropriate and designated location.
Keep accurate inventory records and assist in completing month-end reports, enter inventory count in automated system.
Count and maintain boiler fuel inventory and other crucial items expected to be in stock and available for use by Production Dept when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to read and write.
Excellent attendance
Computer skills
Knowledge of how to use parts catalogs.
Ability to use a calculator to perform addition and subtraction functions.
Must be able to climb 1 to 2 flights of stairs frequently.
Ability to lift 75 lbs.
Able to operate a "Bob Cat"/case loader and forklift and other rental machinery
Maintain all working areas by keeping them clean and neat at all times
Must be a self-starter and operate this department with a minimum of supervision
Able to assess a situation and formulate a proper course of action
Use equipment in a safe manner as instructed by management
Work safely and observe all safety rules
Hazards may and include, but are not limited to cuts, burns, slips and trips

Preferred Qualifications

Must be willing to work all shifts, over-time and weekends as needed.
Expected to perform other duties as assigned.
