Develops and implements purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiency. Manages vendor relationships and negotiates contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions. Coordinates and oversees the procurement process, including order placement, tracking, and delivery. Analyzes and monitors inventory levels to ensure adequate supply while minimizing excess stock. Resolves delivery and quality issues with suppliers to maintain smooth operations. Conducts research and analysis to support purchasing decisions and identify opportunities for improvement. Collaborates with internal departments to understand their needs and ensure timely procurement of goods and services. Maintains accurate item data and optimizes inventory management systems. Prepares and presents reports on purchasing activities, costs, and performance metrics. Ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Develops and implements process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Provides training and support to staff involved in purchasing and supply chain activities. Other duties as assigned.
