Job summary

Construction Resources is seeking a Purchasing Administrative support professional to assist the Purchasing Manager with procurement, inventory control, and order tracking. The role collaborates with the Warehouse Manager to ensure stock accuracy and timely deliveries.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, strong data-entry skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment. Construction or distribution industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Load items into Inventory Maintenance following detailed directions step by step.
  • Review inventory levels and issue new POs to maintain core inventory levels.
  • Review vendor order acknowledgments for accuracy.
  • Track orders for delivery dates and assist with scheduling.
  • Serve as backup for Purchasing Manager when out of the office.
  • Assist with inventory adjustments and movements.
  • Review invoices for accuracy when needed.
  • Coordinate with vendors for showroom display orders.

Job description

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Purchasing Administrative support role assists the Purchasing Manager in all aspects related to the procurement and purchasing of stock items and special orders. The position works closely with the Warehouse manager to ensure accuracy in inventory controls, product availability, and order tracking.

Essential Functions

Daily duties to include:

  • Loading items into Inventory Maintenance following detailed directions which must be followed step by step
  • Review inventory levels using access reports to issue new Pos for maintaining core inventory levels
  • Review vendor order acknowledgments for accuracy
  • Review vendor’s open orders for updated ETAs’ on backordered product to assist with scheduling
  • Assist in tracking orders for delivery dates
  • Serve as backup when Purchasing Manager is out of the office
  • Pull OTC / Obsolete inventory reports and distribute to help move inventory
  • Assist with inventory adjustments / movements when necessary
  • Assist with reviewing invoices for accuracy when needed.
  • Work with vendors for display orders for showrooms
  • Attention to detail – high accuracy on data entry
  • Excellent time management skills, driven to complete tasks assigned daily
  • Highly focused and avoids distractions
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to multi-task and work within specified time frames
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, self-directed environment
  • Previous work experience in the construction or distribution industry a plus
