Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution management.
  • Experience leading exempt leaders and developing management teams.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, WMS, inventory, and logistics.
  • Proficiency with MS Office especially Word/Outlook/Excel.

We are opening a new fulfillment center in Atlanta, GA and are looking for anAssistant General Manager to join our growing Fulfillment Center network! This individual will report to our General Manager and will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and leading all Inbound and Outbound operations while helping to establish and scale our new fulfillment center. Working closely with the General Manager, this individual will drive day‑to‑day performance by ensuring customer orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time, with a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, employee engagement, and continuous improvement. As part of the leadership team for our brand‑new fulfillment center, this individual will play an integral role in developing the team, implementing processes, preparing the site for launch, and creating a strong foundation for long‑term success. Job Type: Full‑Time, Exempt

Location: Atlanta, GA - McDonough/Locust Grove area

Schedule: This role helps oversee our new Atlanta, GA fulfillment center. While this position generally follows a schedule, operational demands during peak and seasonal periods may require leaders to work additional hours beyond their regular schedule. Leaders are expected to maintain a flexible schedule and adjust their working hours as needed to support the business and their teams.

Travel: P lease note that for the first 6 to 9 months of this role, the selected individual will be required to travel to our other fulfillment centers for onboarding and training. We reimburse reasonable and necessary business travel expenses.

Salary: $96,160 – $120,200 per year

The base salary range for this position is $96,000 to $120,000.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all processes and procedures for all Inbound and Outbound operations
  • Ensure the teams are staffed appropriately in order to operate at peak efficiency and complete all assigned tasks on a daily basis
  • Manage the work performance of each member of the Inbound and Outbound leadership team to ensure productivity standards and KPI metrics are consistently being met
  • Identify, lead, and support continuous initiatives that improve customer service, accuracy, and productivity while reducing operating cost
  • Determine the root cause of process opportunities, addressing issues and piloting resolutions to standard
  • Support the General Manager in overseeing the overall operations of the fulfillment center
  • Act as the General Manager in their absence and make key operational decisions
  • Partner and communicate with management and leadership to ensure alignment of objectives, problem solve, provide operational updates, and develop new operational procedure and strategies
  • Build the leadership bench through current and future development plans
  • Deliver performance reviews and conduct monthly check‑ins with each member of the Inbound and Outbound leadership team to establish rapport and provide feedback
  • Address performance related incidents that arise and recommend a course of action on all disciplinary and personnel incidents
  • Train and develop Team Leads and Associates through coaching, mentoring, and effective communication to develop a strong culture of employee engagement
  • Attend and participate in the HR and cross‑functional meetings
  • Create and promote a safe working environment for all employees while developing a safety culture in which an employee feels safe and comfortable in their areas of responsibility
  • Lead by example and maintain professional standards in the workplace

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution management, with direct oversight of multiple teams or departments
  • Experience leading exempt leaders and developing high‑performing management teams through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including distribution flow, automation, warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management, and supply chain/logistics concepts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (especially Word, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to anticipate issues, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple priorities
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and align with executive leadership, while also connecting effectively with frontline associates
  • Ability to work independently, multitask and follow process and standard procedures
  • Proven track record of achieving operational goals related to productivity, accuracy, and cost efficiency
  • Strong background in process improvement, including identifying workflow inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an automated warehouse environment, including experience with a Tier 1 warehouse management system (WMS), conveyor systems, and robotics
  • Experience managing cross‑functional initiatives and collaborating with HR, Safety, or Corporate departments to support broader organizational goals
  • Prior involvement in budget management, forecasting, or financial planning for operational departments
  • Proven ability to analyze KPIs and develop data‑driven strategies to improve performance and employee engagement
