That Fish Place - That Pet Place is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support the Purchasing Department with administrative duties and vendor management. You will help ensure accurate pricing, track promotions, and assist with invoices and documentation.

The role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in administrative, purchasing, inventory, accounting, or retail preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Purchasing Department.
• Assist Buyers with purchase orders, vendor correspondence, product information, and other purchasing-related activities.
• Maintain accurate vendor records, pricing information, product information, and purchasing documentation.
• Review vendor invoices for accuracy and process payments.
• Track vendor promotions, rebates, discounts, allowances, and other promotional programs.
• Maintain organized records and meet deadlines.
