Job summary

Leapros Skilled Trades is seeking a Purchasing Assistant with 1+ year of manufacturing purchasing experience to join our team. This role offers a clear path toward a Purchasing Manager position within the next 1-2 years and requires experience with ERP systems, purchase orders, vendors, materials, and quotes.

Responsibilities include creating and managing purchase orders for raw materials and production needs, coordinating with shop, engineering, and planning teams, and following up with vendors

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of manufacturing purchasing experience.
• 1+ year ERP system experience with purchasing/materials processes.
• Experience with purchase orders, vendor quotes, materials, and supplier follow-up.
• Strong MS Office skills.
• Attention to detail and organization in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders for raw materials, parts, and production needs.
• Coordinate with shop, engineering, and Purchase Planning teams to ensure material requirements are met.
• Follow up with vendors to monitor order status, on-time delivery, and potential delays.
• Process and maintain purchasing, inventory, and production information within the ERP system.
• Assist with general office support and ERP/system training for new personnel.

• Coordinate with shop, engineering, Part Sales, and Purchase Planning teams to ensure material requirements are met.
• Follow up with vendors to monitor order status, on-time delivery, and potential delays.
• Process and maintain purchasing, inventory, and production information within the ERP system.
• Assist with general office support and ERP/system training for new personnel.
