Job summary

Grand Ledge Public Schools seeks a Pupil Accounting Specialist to manage district-wide data reporting, audits, and state/federal submissions. You will work with registrars, building admins, and auditors to ensure compliance with MDE PAM and CEPI guidelines.

You will oversee MSDS, CRDC, TSDL, GAD, and MCIR reporting, verify enrollment, residency, and non-resident records, and support district-wide data systems and training for staff involved in pupil accounting.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or GED; associate/bachelor's degree preferred in Education, Business, or related field.
• MSBO Pupil Accounting Specialist Certification or willingness to obtain within two years with at least three years in K-12 pupil accounting.
• Experience with student information systems (PowerSchool) and CEPI systems (MSDS, SRM).

Responsibilities

• Oversee state and federal pupil accounting reporting datasets (MSDS, CRDC, TSDL, GAD, MCIR).
• Ensure compliance with CEPI guidelines and MDE policies for district reporting.
• Manage Days/Clock Hours, waivers, residency docs, and enrollment projections.
• Lead enrollment procedures, residency verification, School of Choice, transfers, and student releases.
• Support data quality through audits and timely submission of required documentation.
• Provide training and guidance to registrars and administrative staff on data entry standards.
