Job summary

STANLEY Engineered Fastening seeks a Punch Press Setup/Operator for Montpelier, IN. You will operate the punch press, read micrometers and calipers, adjust tooling for quality parts, and manage die setups while loading steel and moving materials with cranes.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, mechanical know-how, forklift and crane experience, blueprint literacy, and basic math with good communication. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• General mechanical knowledge and ability.
• Drive and operate forklift.
• Operate overhead cranes.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Basic mathematical understanding.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written.
• Basic computer knowledge to enter data.
• Analytical skills to solve die and press problems.

Responsibilities

• Operate punch press and set up dies for production.
• Read measuring equipment like micrometers and calipers.
• Perform adjustments to maintain quality parts.
• Load steel, move scrap and finished parts.
• Transport dies and materials using cranes and carts.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe work practices.
• Work overtime as needed and follow supervisor instructions.
