Job description

Location: 32 NH Nashua
120 Northwest Boulevard
Nashua, NH 03063, USA

Responsibilities:

• Set dies and operate punch press, consistently producing quality parts above desired quotas.
• Work from drawings, blueprints, job layouts, or other written specifications; determine feeds, speeds, tooling, and operational sequences.
• Operate and adjust machine through inspection process until parts produced conform with specifications and time standards.
• Ensure machine is working at full capacity, stocked with needed materials, well-maintained, and perform periodic checks on output.
• Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, and unusual conditions.
• Detect and report significant variances in job standards.
• Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of the PM schedule.
• Responsible for cleanliness of your own work area and the general housekeeping of the Company.
• Report any unsafe conditions to Supervisor/Management/Maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Formal relative education/training through a technical/vocational school.
• 5+ years experience operating punch press equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• The ability to use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and dial indicators.
• Capability of making tooling necessary to complete tasks.
• Mechanical and technical skills; ability to read and interpret blueprints is a must.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, and control objects or tools. The employee is regularly required to stand and occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Work Environment:

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to airborne particles and chemicals. The noise level is usually very loud. The employee is required to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes.
