Description

Summary

This hands-on role involves operating digital printing press (flatbed) and cutting/routing CAD table in a growing digital print business. Responsibilities include the safe operation and maintenance of equipment used to produce printed products such as boxes, displays, banners, signage, and offline print applications. The candidate should have experience with production equipment, be proactive, dedicated, and able to work independently or as part of a team including research, industrial and graphic design, and brand strategy experts.

Responsibilities

1. Operate printing and cutting equipment to meet production schedules and verify output quality.
2. Organize projects from prepress or supervisor, and maintain equipment according to schedules.
3. Gather necessary work components like die files, media, inks, and ensure a safe work environment.
4. Complete special projects and assignments as directed by the supervisor.
5. Maintain confidentiality and control of all sensitive information as per company policies and regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficient in PC, Macintosh, and network-based systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and work flexible hours.
• Ability to work safely around hazardous chemicals and independently.
• Preferred: High School Diploma and/or Graphics Trade School Certificate, with 1-year experience in a production print environment.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with strong communication skills.
• Effective multi-tasking and time management skills.
• Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.

• Regularly sit and handle objects, communicate verbally and in writing.
• Reach with hands and arms, and possess specific vision abilities including color and depth perception.

Work Environment

• Moderate noise level typical of a manufacturing setting.
