Job Details

The CNC Punch Press Operator supports production by operating machinery, conducting quality checks, reading blueprints, assisting in finishing operations, and preparing products for shipment. Attention to detail and flexibility are essential in this role.

Essential Duties

• Set-up and operate Amada CNC Punch Press
• Program parts using G/M Codes
• Recommend tooling for new parts
• Support other fabrication duties as needed

Responsibilities

• Cross-train on Press Brake; operate based on production schedule
• Perform drilling, tapping, post-machining, deburring, and polishing
• Perform preventive maintenance and light repairs
• Use measurement tools accurately
• Handle large metal sheets and parts safely
• Verify parts conformance to specifications
• Assist with organization and pre-packaging of work orders

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Computer skills and machinery operation knowledge
• Strong math skills
• Experience operating CNC Punch Press
• Programming skills in G/M Codes (3i, SMP, or similar)
• 2+ years of metal fabrication experience
• Knowledge of G code, AP100, 3i, or SMP is a plus
• Understanding of Press Brake, CNC, Shears, Turrets
• Manufacturing experience: 2+ years
• CNC programming: 1+ year
