Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority-East seeks a Facility Assistant Maintenance Manager A to oversee the PCCP facilities, ensuring reliability of stormwater pumps and related infrastructure. You’ll lead maintenance teams, monitor SCADA-driven operations, and help manage budgets for preventive work.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in building construction/maintenance or related education plus hands-on supervisory experience.

Qualifications

Requires four years in building construction trade/maintenance or equivalent.
Two-year construction tech program plus two years’ experience.
Twelve semester hours in construction field plus two years’ experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operation, maintenance, repair, and rehab of PCCP facilities.
Serve as Assistant Pump Station Operator ensuring safe pump operation.
Coordinate piping repairs, gear drive maintenance, lubrication, and minor pump repairs.
Evaluate equipment conditions; recommend repairs, replacements and improvements.
Coordinate maintenance services, contractors, schedules and cost estimates.
Assist with construction plans, specifications and facility improvements.
Maintain and operate large rotating equipment and stormwater pumps.
