Qualifikationen

• Three years of experience or training in the electrical trade.
• Two years of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been on-the-job experience.

Aufgaben

• Install, alter, maintain, and repair wiring systems for navigational gates, movable bridges, navigation traffic signals, record tidal gages, velocity meters, surveillance systems, marine radios, streetlights, electric taps, floodlights, and other electrical fixtures and equipment associated with buildings.
• Maintain electric motors and generators. Maintain emergency generators.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical motor starters, related switchgear, and controls. Ensure the operational ability of sector gates.
• Operate flood gates, pumps, and motors for maintenance and during storm-related events. Participate in manpower at the Lake Borgne Barrier safe house or PCCP with others throughout a storm event.
