OTC Industrial Technologies in Tulsa is seeking a hands-on Mechanic to repair and overhaul rotating equipment, perform disassembly, inspection, and reassembly, and troubleshoot issues to keep operations running smoothly.

You will learn through classroom and on-the-job training, work with precision tools, follow safety protocols, and build strong customer relationships while contributing to a growing team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude; multi-craft experience a plus.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools like micrometers and calipers.
• Familiar with API, ANSI, and OEM standards for rotating equipment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass drug test and background check.
• Able to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist and lead tasks under the Shop Manager to meet daily goals.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and lead root cause analysis.
• Interpret drawings, OEM manuals, and repair specs.
• Document repair findings, measurements, tolerances, and parts used.
• Hydro and paint repaired/new equipment.
• Represent OTC professionally and build customer relationships.
• Follow safety protocols and continue training.
• Handle emergency service calls swiftly.
• Be flexible to take on additional responsibilities.
• Learn via classroom and hands-on training with guidance.
• Use computer systems for training, documentation, and communication.

Competitive Pay:

This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $22/hr. to $26/hr., depending on experience and qualifications.

What You'll Do:

• Performs duties assigned under the direction of Shop Manager to ensure the team is aligned to the goals and objectives for the team for each day.
• Perform and oversee the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and related rotating equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and lead root cause analysis on equipment failures.
• Interpret technical drawings, OEM manuals, and repair specifications.
• Ensure proper documentation of repair findings, measurements, tolerances, and parts used.
• Perform Hydro and Paint of repaired and new assembly equipment.
• Represent OTC professionally and build strong customer relationships.
• Follow safety protocols and stay current through ongoing training.
• Handle emergency service calls with speed and precision to keep operations moving.
• Be flexible and ready to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Learn through classroom and hands-on training while following direction from experienced mechanics.
• Use and learn computer systems for training, documentation, and communication of work performed.

What You'll Need:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical aptitude; multi-craft experience a plus. Proficient in using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).
• Strong understanding of mechanical fits, tolerances, and alignment procedures.
• Coachable and eager to learn.
• Familiar with API, ANSI, and OEM standards related to rotating equipment.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and organized work habits.
• Valid driver's license; able to pass drug test and background check.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods.
